About Escaping Exodus

• Paperback: 336 pages
• Publisher: Harper Voyager (October 15, 2019)

When Earth is gone and none of our milky way adjacent planets have been inhabited, humanity it left to colonize the most bizarre spaces. Like every good post-planetary story, Escaping Exodus begins in traditional, desolate, post apocalyptic manner.

Seske Kaleigh has been primed and raised to take over her future role as clan leader but she is busy being literally stary-eyed and dreamy. She is dead set on finding the cause of the recent tremors that have been rocking her community but that doesn’t seem to fit in her clan’s leadership ideal.

Gathering an unlikely crew of misfits and renegades, Seske sets forth on a trek she feels overrides the goals of her superiors. On their way to find answers they think they’re after, they stumble upon answers far more sinister.

When the gate of her people lands squarely on her dreamy shoulders, Seske is overwhelmed but not undone, throwing her whole weight into saving her clan and arguably her whole universe from threats both far and uncomfortably near.

This gorgeous romp through space takes the trope of science fiction and turns it inside out, bringing in psychological and scientific drama into an incredible imaginary world that seems impossibly imaginable.
