Every summer reading list needs something breathtakingly sweet.

One Paris Summer is definitely that something.

Sophie wouldn’t describe her summer plans as sweet, though, at least not at the start. She and her older brother are headed to The City of Lights, which would be amazing if the trip didn’t involve visiting her dad, his new wife, and the step sister from hell.

She’s leaving behind her mother, her best friend, and her one true love (the piano) for family drama hell and has no idea how to navigate the most sophisticated city in the world with only a sweet, naive, South Carolina girl’s heart.

With resentments brewing close under her skin, she boards a plane and attempts to tough it out for a few brutal months.

Of course, a city known for its love and light holds up its end of the deal, smashing Sophie straight into the arms (and hart) of Mathieu, a sweet, soft spoken Parisian guy with somewhat mysterious ties to Sophie’s new step sister. He also has access to a kickass piano. Fate? Perhaps. Complicated? Oh, yeah.

This was my first book by Denise Grover Swank and I absolutely fell in love. Most sugary romances lack the depth I need to keep my interest but this one captured my heart from the get go.

Definitely a must read if you need something adorably soft and romantic.
