The crown princess of the Cyrilian Empire, Anastacya Mikhailov may be one of the most powerful and dangerous Affinites in the land. Affinities are known for their varied abilities, making them a threat and therefor enslaved and imprisoned. She has, so far, remained age, due to her status and her father’s protection.
Upon his death, however, her protection is stripped away and she is forced to flee the palace she has forever called her home.
With the very blood inside her veins her own curse and potential downfall, she has no choice but find her father’s killer and clear her own name.
Unfortunately, politics are never that cut and dry. In order to clear her own name, she will have to unravel a far messier and deadly plot. In the process, she risks unraveling her own life.
The world of Blood Heir is gorgeously written and intricately imagined. Often the downfall of high stakes fantasy adventure, the character development remains strong and complex throughout, building characters that are easy to fall in love with impossible to forget.
There is so much more to explore through this intricate and vast landscape and I can not wait for the continuation of the series.
Thank you to Random House and Netgalley for the ARC of Blood Heir. I was given an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review and all thoughts are my own.
I love fantasy and this sounds good. I’ll have to wait until the series is complete though, so I can binge. 🙂
