TSS: My Summer Vacation

July 15, 2012

The Sunday Salon.com

Well, we’re in the literal home stretch after a week and a half away. Sun, sand and totally awesome surf made our summer vacation radical. We managed to let our big, independent four year old ride off to his own week at the beach with his grandparents prior to our arrival and, you know what? I wasn’t a total nervous wreck!

Kellen and I took in a great surf lesson from pro Tiffany Layton and then spent the rest of the week tackling the waves on our own.

On our way home, we stopped in beautiful Pine Mountain for our home away from our home away from home, Callaway Gardens. We caught a fabulous show, last night, by the FSU High Flyers and then biked the last of our energy out, leaving our remaining blood sweat and tears somewhere on the Georgia mountainside.

All together a wonderful time.

Oh! Here is our little photo album:

I love the pictures! There is nothing quite like a beach vacation. You just don’t want it to end. I swear one day I will live at the beach.
