BTT2: Night Light
July 28, 2011
What’s the latest you’ve ever stayed up reading a book? Is staying up late reading a usual thing for you?
I’m not much of a night owl, though I have managed a cozy one a.m. every now and then.
And these days, forget it! At six months pregnant, I’m lucky to stay up until nine.
I’m much more likely to be an early riser when it comes to getting my reading in.

I’m not an early riser, but I totally stay up late reading. I’m here via Booking Through Thursday… congrats on the impending baby!
Here’s my answer.
Congrats! It is hard to sleep later in pregnancy you might get some reading time then 🙂

I have a harder time now than when I was younger staying up late. I usually try but don’t get far. Check out my giveaway!

Congrats! I was the same way when I was pregnant with my daughter. It hasn’t changed much since she is now two – I’d rather sleep than read usually! 🙂

I have had a long history of sleeping problems, so I kind of have to take it when I can get it. This means that I don’t usually stay up late reading, but will grab my book if the insomnia is particularly bad, and have been known to stay up till the crack of dawn reading if the combination of sleepless night and riveting book happens to occur.
Congrats on the pregnancy! I wish I could be an early riser, I feel like I get more accomplished during the day if I wake up early, but it hardly ever happens.

Congrats on the pregnancy! I used to stay up to read but I’m getting too old for that.
Congrats on the pregnancy…I do not stay up late anymore…I don’t know, I am mostly tired !
Congratulations on your pregnancy. I actually got in quite a bit of reading while pregnant, especially the last trimester or so. I had congestion and could not breathe unless I slept sitting up. And that wasn’t exactly conducive for good sleep.
These days, I will maybe stay up late if I don’t have to be at work early the next day. Or if I have a really really good book going. Or if I am working a mid shift and it’s quiet.
I could NEVER stay up late to do anything (no matter how good the book was) when I was pregnant. I barely made it past 9 most nights!! Now that my body is my own again, I sometimes have the occasional late night trying to finish a book but haven’t gotten much past midnight. I’m just not a night owl.
By the way, I’m just back from vacation and trying to get caught up on blogs. I’m trying to read as many posts as I can but only leaving everyone one comment or I’ll never catch up. Thanks for understanding.
You’ll be up late in a few months!
