TSS: Sun and Sillies

April 17, 2011

The Sunday Salon.com
Oh, it’s just another silly Sunday!

As mentioned, yesterday, Kellen and I made out like bandits at the book fair. By far, my favorite book is, of course, the nerdy wordy one. Rhyming Dust Bunnies is an hysterical little romp through explaining rhymes and also the perils of being a tiny dust bunny. Kai was laughing through the whole thing (due to my dramatic tellking I’m sure) and, I think, after about three times through, began to understand the concept of rhyming. I know he’s a little bit young but he loves his music and will probably be on the early end of the understanding group on that.

The bit about sun has less to do with reading and more to do with, well, sun. Kai and I spent the morning at the Chattahoochee river in Roswell, watching geese and exploring the differences between living and non-living things. I suppose that ties in to the writing of fiction down the road in categorical fiction, right? Of course! In the afternoon, we did more of a study in nonfiction though it to could be spun into a great character study. We went down to Candler Park for their Sweetwater Festival. My only art is words but I have to say that I appreciate and love art of all kind and boy was there art!

Over all, a beautiful weekend with some very silly stories.
