Teaser Tuesday: How to Knit a Heart Back Home ~ Rachael Herron

April 4, 2011

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  • Then she lowered her head to the papers, letting Eliza’s quiet voice sing in her ear.

So, this choice probably has my regular reading crew a little mystified but really, it’s been a cute read and exactly what I needed in the middle of the March Madness that is summer-prep, graduation planning and, yes, filling out kindergarten applications for about 50 private schools. Welcome to preschool in 2011, folks. Needless to say, I’ve needed a little bit of silly fun and this has been it. My review shall follow tomorrow. Enjoy!

I like the title of this one, even if I know almost nothing about knitting!

Sounds like a cozy read. My teaser come from Mr. Darcy Broke My Heart.

Silly fun is always a good thing. I find myself craving it at times as well. Happy reading!

Love the title. And oh my – kindergarten applications? Yikes! It reminds me of that skit by a comedian (whose name slips my mind right now), flipping through a resume, saying, “And this is all you’ve got to show for the four years you’ve been here?” 🙂
