teaser-tuesday

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

“She came along the alley and up the back steps the way she always used to. Doc hadn’t seen her for over a year. Nobody had.” Inherent Vice by Thomas Pynchon p. 1

Half of me really wants to read this, and half of me is afraid of Pynchon!

No, don’t be afraid! This is way easier to read than a lot of his other stuff. I think this will end up turning a lot of people on to Pynchon…read away!
