Viva El Blog!

I gave birth to this blog, oh let’s see, about two weeks ago. The actual Word Press account is a mere week old. In that time I have also been attempting to navigate the choppy waters of other book bloggers and that bottomless pit that is the Twitterverse. Yes, I have left the small streams of facebook and reading on my own to join this giant ocean where publishers and vast social media conglomerations are dangerously lapping high over my head.

Well, it appears I have been thrown a life jacket: Natasha at Maw Books Blog is hosting Bloggiesta: a blogging event starting this Friday at 8am (your 8am). The goal of the challenge/event is to spend the weekend cleaning, pruning, and all over improving your blog.

The most challenging part for me will be the action of putting my current read down as Natasha says, “The point is to catch up instead of adding another book to the ‘to be reviewed’ pile.” Yikes!

So, here I am, with a clear goal to get this space in working order over the weekend. I have a few items already listed such as ratings, tagging, adding past reviews, drafting a review policy and reworking additional pages.

What would you, as a visitor, like to see here? What features would you like added (links, pictures, searches)? What would make things a bit easier to navigate? Let me know and I’ll add items to the list.
